Lenten Bible Study: Bearing the Cross: The Church and Controversial Questions
This Lenten Bible Study invites us to examine challenging and timely issues through a United Methodist lens, guided by Scripture and the Social Principles of the United Methodist Church. As disciples called to bear the cross of Christ, we will reflect on how our faith informs our understanding of today’s pressing topics, including:
• Race
• Immigration
• War and Conflict
• LGBTQ Inclusion
This six-week study will provide space for grace-filled discussion and faithful action. Join us as we live into our Social Principles and seek to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world.

We’re thrilled to announce that Hawley United Methodist Church is celebrating 175 years of ministry this year!

Join us for a special Homecoming Service on Sunday, November 2, 2025, followed by a celebratory luncheon. This is a huge milestone for our church, and we want YOU to be part of the joy!

Our service will feature a keynote speaker and moments to reflect on God’s faithfulness throughout the years. Bring your friends, family, and anyone who has been touched by the ministry of Hawley UMC as we honor our history and look toward the future.

This is just the beginning of a year-long celebration filled with jubilation, special events, and opportunities to celebrate all that God has done through this church.
